ClearBG is a browser-based toolkit that does all of its work locally, so it doesn't need a live connection to function. Install it as an app (it's a PWA) and the interface is cached on your device — you can then compress, convert, resize, crop or redact images with the internet switched off entirely.
It's genuinely useful on a plane, on patchy hotel Wi-Fi, or any time you'd rather not send a photo over the network. Everything happens on-device, which is also why it stays private: no connection means there's nowhere for your images to go.
